The following is an example of good practice when referencing journal articles in assignments.
Journal articles can be an excellent means of discovering the current state of academic discourse on a topic (Thompson et al., 2020, p. 42). Bell (1997) argued that engaging with journal articles is ‘essential for students to attain the best possible outcomes’ (p. 2682).
